Feel Good Friday #3

2 February 2018

Dear Friend,

Are you sick of listening to bad news? Do you feel weighed down by all the negativity? Are you looking for a large portion of feel good news to take you into the weekend? Then look no further...

Tal Ben-Shahar, Harvard University Professor and leader of the class “Positive Psychology”, encourages his students to be an active agent in finding happiness. One way to do this is to read some positive news every day.

Positive information benefits us emotionally, physically, and mentally. It can contribute in a meaningful way to a happier and healthier life.

Here I hope to inspire you with feel good stories that I have found across the web. It is time for Feel good Friday...

This weeks post is a Ted Talk (don't worry it's not too long). This talk is by the amazing Rosie King. We use the word inspirational too much now but this 16 year old, autistic woman, is truly inspiring.
People are so afraid of variety that they try to fit everything into a tiny little box with a specific label,” says 16-year-old Rosie King, who is bold, brash and autistic. She wants to know: Why is everyone so worried about being normal? She sounds a clarion call for every kid, parent, teacher and person to celebrate uniqueness. It’s a soaring testament to the potential of human diversity.

Every single time I watch this (and I have watched it many times) it brings a tear to my eye. I am celebrating uniqueness with Rosie, are you?

Have a fabulous Friday!
