Feel Good Friday #6

4 May 2018

Dear Friend,

Are you sick of listening to bad news? Do you feel weighed down by all the negativity? Are you looking for a large portion of feel good news to take you into the weekend? Then look no further...Tal Ben-Shahar, Harvard University Professor and leader of the class “Positive Psychology”, encourages his students to be an active agent in finding happiness. One way to do this is to read some positive news every day.
Here I hope to inspire you with feel good stories that I have found across the web. It is time for Feel good Friday...

Positive information benefits us emotionally, physically, and mentally. It can contribute in a meaningful way to a happier and healthier life.

I first spotted this story on Facebook and just loved it so I had to share it with you on Feel Good Friday. My son was also in Intensive care for a week when he was born and leaving him behind was one of the worse feelings I've ever had. To know that there is someone there to love your baby is such a relief.

David Deutchman, nickname "ICU Grandpa", was praised for spending 12 years cradling ill and premature babies at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta hospitals in Georgia. The 82-year-old who worked in international business marketing before his retirement, now volunteers as a "baby buddy" at the hospital's paediatric and neonatal intensive care units twice a week.

Some people just don't understand the kind of reward you would get from holding a baby like this

Have a fabulous Friday!
